Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of communication, organizational culture, and work environment on employee performance at the Department of Library and Archives of North Barito Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach using a census method, where the entire population of 46 employees was taken as the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The results show that simultaneously, communication, organizational culture, and work environment significantly affect employee performance. However, partially, communication and organizational culture do not have a significant effect, while the work environment has a positive and significant impact. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.249 indicates that these three variables explain 24.9% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining 75.1% is influenced by other factors outside this study. The most dominant variable influencing employee performance is the work environment. These findings highlight the importance of creating a conducive work environment as a strategic effort to improve employee performance in delivering public services in the field of library and archival management.
